How to Start a Step Build

Each Step type starts with the same method of creation

First, let's get to the right place! 

Access your /admin dashboard, then:

  • SELECT "AUTHOR" in the main menu

  • SELECT "Steps" in the submenu

  • SELECT the blue circle (upper right) with the "+" sign

Choosing a Step Type

- Step Wizard -

The Step Wizard will appear, complete with a bunch of Step types to choose from!

Each training game offers its own distinct learning experience. We recommend experimenting with them all to get an idea of which ones work with what content best.

For your first Step we recommend one of our easiest training games: True or False

Note: once you choose your Step type and "Save," you won't be able to change it later!

Configure Your Step

- Title -

  • appears in several places throughout LemonadeLXP

  • should be in the language shown in the dropdown menu (upper-right)

  • maximum character count of 52

- Complexity -

  • used by learners to gauge how difficult the Step will be

  • reward amounts are based off difficulty level

  • if you're not sure which to choose, just go with your gut!

- How many minutes should it take to complete this step? -

  • an optional feature

  • you can specify approximate number of minutes it takes to complete the training game

  • shows in both Course and Step overview

- Description -

  • appears in the learner's Course library

  • summarizes what the learner will learn when they play the Step 

  • maximum character count of 512

- What will learners learn from this Step? -

  • an optional feature

  • a concise descriptive statement for what a Step is all about (e.g. "How to manage irate customers" and "What to do in case of fire" are great examples; "What you should consider doing when bad things happen" is bad)

  • more than one can be included

- This Step contributes to the learner's progress -

  • confirms the Step will be included in the learner's grade

  • check if you want it included in their grade; uncheck if you don't

Note: to include and track Skills and Certifications with this Step, this box must be checked.

This panel will vary depending on the Step type you choose.
