Understanding Courses in LemonadeLXP

What Courses are and how they work

Updated yesterday

Courses are how you group related learning content in LemonadeLXP. Think of a Course as a full story, and each Step as a chapter. Together, they help learners build knowledge one piece at a time.

🎯 What is a Course?

A Course focuses on a specific subject by bringing together multiple Steps (videos, questions, scenarios, etc.) into a cohesive learning experience.

🍰 Like a cake made of slices—each Step is a slice that contributes to the whole Course!

Example: If you created a Course on Gardening, you might include Steps like:

  • Planting Seeds

  • Observing Weather Conditions

  • Identifying Bush Types

You can organize Steps to tell a story, teach a procedure, or explore different angles of a topic.

🔁 Reusing Steps Across Courses

The same Step can be used in more than one Course! This gives you flexibility to revisit key topics in different contexts without rewriting the content.

Example: You might include "Identifying Bush Types" in both your Gardening and Cutting Hedges Courses.

This helps reinforce learning across different themes and saves you content creation time.

⚠️ Heads up: Each reused Step is tracked separately. If a learner is assigned both Courses, they’ll need to complete the Step in each one. Completions don’t carry over.

Use this feature to your advantage—but try not to overload learners with too much déjà vu.
