Understanding how awesome Skill Levels are

When creating a new Skill you'll encounter something we like to call Skill Levels. These are extra ways to inspire learners to Level Up , while also giving everyone a way to understand how well a learner has progressed.

How do they work?

Level Numbers

Each Skill will start at Level 0 to reflect that a learner hasn't yet used that Skill. As a learner plays games which use that Skill, its Level will increase in number, from 0 to 1, 1 to 2... You get the idea.

Level numbers can go as high or as low as you choose when you create your Skills.

How Levels Go Up

Each Level can be assigned a certain number of points when the Skill is created or edited. Once a learner manages to accumulate the specified number of points, they will achieve that Level!

How Points Are Earned

By completing Steps

When you create a Step, there's an option to include Skills in the Step. The points assigned to those Skills are then rewarded to learners who successfully complete the Step. As they add up, the learner will earn higher Levels in those Skills!

Note: once a learner has earned the maximum number of skill points available within a Step, they won't earn any more points for that Skill in future replays of that same Step!
