Duplicating Steps

When one copy of a particular training game is not enough

Sometimes, you'll draft a Step that you'll want use as a template of sorts for future Steps to come, like a Scenario with a perfectly-structured point system in place.

You may realize you need to update a Step but also need to keep an original copy of it for reference.

Or maybe you just want to see how a Step will turn out when tweaked a particular way, but don't necessarily want to lose your original work in case it doesn't work the way you'd hoped.

Whatever the case, you have the power to duplicate select Step types and save yourself the time of remaking them from scratch!

Duplicating Steps

Head on over to your /admin dashboard, then:

  • SELECT "AUTHOR" in the main menu

  • SELECT "Steps" in the submenu

Menu bar Author/Steps highlighted
  • FIND and EDIT the Step you wish to duplicate

Step library step card Edit highlighted
Step Wizard Duplicate highlighted
  • CONFIRM you want to duplicate the Step

  • CHOOSE to either edit the duplicate Step right away, or leave it for later

When a Step is duplicated, it will always be named "Copy of [original Step name]". Make sure to edit your duplicated Step's title, description, and other details accordingly before including it in your playable content!

Exempt Steps

Currently the only Step that cannot be duplicated is the Demo training game!
