Breaking down the finer details of Certifications

"If the same Step is added to multiple Courses/Certifications, will the Step be marked as complete in all Courses/Certifications if it's completed in just one?"

Completing one Step does not affect any “duplicates" of that Step.

Each time the same Step is included in a different Course, it’s treated as a new/separate Step. That means each Step duplicate:

  • will store its own grade

  • can have a different affiliated Business Owner

  • will show as a unique entry in the learner’s “My Progress” section of their profile (see example below)

"If a Step is added to a Course, and a learner has already earned a Certification because of Course completion, does the Certification drop? Or do we have to wait for Certification renewal?"

Updates to a Certification’s included Courses/Steps will only affect the learner when their Certification:

  • has yet to be completed

  • needs to be renewed

Should a learner have already completed a Certification before any changes made:

  • their Certification status will continue to show as complete

  • they won’t be required to immediately play through the newly added materials to “update” their Certification status

"If a learner is removed from a Group, and a Certification is tied to the Group, does it take away any Certifications earned?"

"When a Certification is retired/deleted from LemonadeLXP, does it disappear from a learner's earned Certifications list?"

Once a Certification is earned, it stays with the learner regardless of any changes made!

That means if you remove a learner from a Certification's affiliated Group or completely disable/remove the Certification from LemonadeLXP altogether, any learner who earned that Certification will continue to have it listed on their Profile Page.
