How to make a Group for your learners

Now that you understand Groups a bit better, let's get to the right place!  

To get to the Group Wizard and create your new Group, access your /admin dashboard, then:

  • SELECT "Learners" 

  • SELECT "Groups"

  • SELECT the blue circle with the "+" sign

Define Group Details

Identifier

Description

  • appears only on the admin's side as a reminder of what the Group is

Group admins

  • grant limited admin access to users for this Group only

  • gives user access to Group's Analytics

Can users freely register into this group?

  • choose "Yes" if any learner is welcome to self-register

  • choose "No" to restrict Group members to those you add yourself

To have particular Courses appear first on a Group's Course library:

  • SELECT the one(s) you want from the drop-down menu

SAML2 Groups

For instances that actively use SSO, you can specify which SAML2 Group claims the Group should auto-attach to. This option will appear in the Group wizard once it has been saved.

To include automatic SAML2 Group claims:

  • ENTER the SAML2 Group name

  • SELECT "Add"

CHOOSE "Next"
   -or-
SELECT "Step 2 - Translate Your Group Name" (right-hand panel)

Translate Your Group Name

As you can have more than one language available, be sure to WRITE the Group name in each language specified.

Note that Group name(s) entered here are the ones shown in the Leaderboard page!

When you're done, "SAVE" to finish.
