How to create a Course and make your learning materials available to learners

So you've created your Skills and made some Steps, now it's time for the grand finale: creating a Course!

Ready to get started? 

To get to the Course Step Wizard, access your /admin dashboard, then:

  • SELECT "Author" in the main menu

  • SELECT "Courses" in the submenu

  • SELECT the blue circle (upper right) with the "+" sign

Set Your Course Details

- Choose Your Image -

Choosing and attaching an image is the best way for learners to visually find and identify your Course

- Title -

  • appears in the learner's Course screen

  • should be in the language shown in the dropdown input (upper right)

- Category -

- Category Manager -

  • SELECT "Category Manager" to edit Categories

  • CHOOSE the Category from the drop-down menu

  • EDIT it as you wish

  • ADD other languages as needed

- Description -

  • appears in the learner's Course library

CHOOSE "Next"

SELECT "Step 2 - Load in Some Steps" (right-hand panel)

Load In Some Steps

- Step Library -

  • ADD existing Steps to the Course

- Steps In This Course -

  • lists all Steps within the Course

  • REARRANGE Steps as needed

  • REMOVE Steps from the Course

Note: once you save the Course, Steps will show as either ungraded (bold text) or graded (regular text) for a convenient, at-a-glance grade/no-grade overview.

Steps in Course ungraded and graded steps

- Steps have to be completed in order -

  •  CHECKMARK if learners should play Steps in the order shown (top to bottom)

CHOOSE "Next"

SELECT "Step 3 - Define Access" (right-hand panel)

Configure Visibility

- Groups -

  • ASSIGN existing Group(s) to the Course (they can play immediately once Course is published)

  • OMIT GROUPS that will be part of a Trigger (Groups will be assigned the Course via Trigger instead)

- When Should This Course be Published? -

When finished, SAVE your Course!
