With so many passwords to remember, it can be easy for a user to forget their own. Luckily, itâs an easy fix!Â
Users can request a password reset on their own (for administrators who are security-conscious, reset request settings can be customized), or an admin can start the process for them by following the steps below.
Find the User
Make sure you're logged in under /admin, then:
SELECT âLEARNERSâ at the top of the page
SELECT âEnrollmentâ underneathÂ
A list of current users will pop up, complete with their names, emails, and their Groups.
TYPE their name into the search bar
FIND the person youâre looking for
SELECT the padlock icon beside their name
Reset the User's Password
From here, either:
CHECKMARK Â âAutomatically generate a passwordâ box so system will send a random password to the user
TYPE a password of your choice in the âNew Passwordâ box (consider our Password Strength Requirements when you do!)
Finalize Reset
SELECT "Ask for a password change at the next sign-inâ so user will have to create a new password of their own once they've logged in again (recommended)
âSAVE CHANGESâ
Once done, the system will send an email to the user, prompting them to reset their login using the new password. After that, itâs up to them!
