With all this good stuff going on for the learners, it’s only fair to have something good for the administrators too! We present to you...

Analytics!

(You're welcome.)

Our “ANALYTICS” section of the /admin stuff collects all kinds of juicy data ripe for the picking.

The juiciest data of all, and what you’ll want to check the most, are "Step Mastery" and "Baseline Knowledge."

Efficacy

Start on the /admin page, then:

  • SELECT "ANALYTICS"

  • SELECT "Dashboard"

Menu bar Analytics/Dashboard highlighted
  • SCROLL DOWN to the "Step Mastery" graph

Step Mastery Visual Bar

This data helps you visually understand:

  • how well learners are learning and progressing

  • whether Courses or Steps need to be tweaked

As learners start going through Courses, your graph's colours will show you:

  • Courses are too hard (all blue)

  • Courses are too easy (all green)

  • Courses are just right! (a nice mix of blue & green)

Aim for a mix of blue and green in the beginning. As learners learn and improve, and the bar becomes more and more green, then it’s a great time to challenge your expert learners by:

Baseline Knowledge

Start on the /admin page, then:

  • SELECT "ANALYTICS"

  • SELECT "Dashboard"

Menu bar Analytics/Dashboard highlighted
  • SCROLL DOWN to the "Baseline Knowledge" graph

Here you will see if Courses are working by comparing learners:

  • starting grades

  • average score

  • best score recorded to date

Everyone should improve over time, so your graph will ideally show an increase between the baseline score and current average.

If it’s going down then it’s worth reviewing, and possibly reworking, the Courses and Steps they’ve been taking.

The Rest of It

  • how many people are participating

  • number of questions answered per day

  • how each Step and Course is doing (via interactions and average learner scores)

As you navigate and familiarize yourself with these results, you’ll see distinct patterns and trends that will help you, and your users, make this a truly enjoyable and appreciated experience.
